A cozy white mood

At the moment, at Elise Chalmin, we also want a little rest for our eyes. Is it because we spent our winter in a computer screen filled with blue light? Or that we are giving ourselves time to enjoy the pretty patterns of summer? We don't really know, but what we do know is that we wanted to reach more women with a little simplicity. We love our patterns, we are crazy about them, but sometimes we also like the delicacy of being able to wear white, and in an elegant way.

Personally I have always loved classic white shirts, I wear them often and with everything, I find that they dress a woman with all the simplicity she needs. The white shirt is a wardrobe essential, for both women and men. It must be as sober as possible, no colored buttons, no printed lining, no just immaculate white.

It was after this great reflection of ''Elise Chalmin is still specialized in the pattern, is it coherent for us to include neutrality in our collections? '' that we still decided to launch into THE white shirt. And then finally, this reasoning was quite logical, we made printed silk pants and we thought, that it would be quite obvious for those most wary of originality, that the white shirt would be perfect with pants that go beyond the codes.

How did it happen?

Well, as usual for non-printed fabrics, I went to my Parisian supplier of high-end fabrics. His name is Jean-Claude, he has gray hair and he is a sweetheart, he always tells me lots of stories about his fabrics and the big fashion houses that come to order from him. His choice of fabrics is huge, there is everything: white, striped, wool, velvet. He is like me, he does not like synthetics and he loves the importance that I attach to fabric. He loves to see young designers come to his place, and he is so proud to participate in French creation, in short he is a gem.

First step: he shows me several fabrics because he knows that I am curious, I always spend an hour there when I just have to give him a check and I always leave with fabric to be delivered to the tailor, when it was not planned at the start...

This is how the story of our Linen shirt began, I came across a sample of immaculate white Linen and I said to myself: hey, let's try it.
I decided to recreate the same cut as our silk shirts that suit you so well, on which we have very few returns as the cut is so perfect.
The result
There is no doubt that we did well and our customers are won over.
